Mike and I played a duo concert and gave a mini clinic at Fullerton College on Nov 8, 2019. It was so fun, I wanted to share it with you. Here are our favorite excerpts. Recorded using my Rode NT4, and Rode VideoMicro, in two locations. The NT4 was just off the stage, and the VideoMicro was atop my camera, near a speaker.
Hang out with me while I talk about my favorite song by my favorite band, U2.
I'm using my voice here to think about articulation and phrasing choice, but of course this applies to all instruments and the ways you choose to articulate. It's always something to be considering and I hope this gives you some ideas for the future!

Using a little Roman numeral analysis, you can play songs in any key you want! Hang out with me while we take this classic and put it in Elvis' key. Pick up the Aimee Nolte Music notebook here: https://www.themusiciansnotebook.com/collaborations/aimee-nolte
Oct 18-19, Nicki Parrott and I headlined at The Jazz Corner in Hilton Head, SC with Justin Varnes (drums) and Taylor Roberts (guitar). We had a marvelous time together and hope you enjoy watching little glimpses of our weekend.
Cool Autumn breezes carried two sophisticated ladies to the Carolinas. Pianist and singer Aimée Nolte from Los Angeles invited her friend from Connecticut, Nicki Parrott to sing and play bass together with her. They were joined on the stage by Taylor Roberts, playing his 7-string Benedetto guitar, which was handbuilt in nearby Savannah. On his Gretsch drum kit, made in Ridgeland, SC perhaps fifteen miles away from Hilton Head Island, was Justin Varnes, in town to play another in his "Classical meets Jazz" series of concerts.
Learn how in 6 months, I went from being a very low-singing alto with a high note-aversion to singing a Bach Sinfonia in a very soprano range.
