Aimee wrote “Dream (Charlie’s Song)” shortly after her third oldest son, Charlie left home for college. It follows the tradition of her previous singles, “Falling Snow” and “Ella’s Song” (both written when Aimee’s two older kids left the nest) but carries the weight of Charlie’s immense imagination - captured in the arrangement by a soaring string quartet and a heart wrenching melody.
