I perform as often as I can all around LA and Orange Counties. Most often, I am playing solo piano and singing, but I also perform with my quartet regularly.
Some of my favorite local collaborators are Mike Scott, Shane Savala, Bruce Lett, Lyman Medieros, Steve Cotter, Kendall Kay, and I could go on and on.
I love to play and you can always find my gig dates on the “GIGS” tab of this site.
Excerpts from my October 3 2018 concert in Oregon. If I Should Lose You The Sound Of Music
Listen to my brand new single, "Falling Snow" in it's entirety and watch footage from the recording session with Mike Scott (guitar), Bruce Lett (Bass) and James Yoshizawa (drums) from the day in July when we recorded at Oak House Studios in Altadena.
I grew up in Weaverville, a small gold rush town in Northern California. In late July, The Carr Fire threatened my town, and destroyed much of Trinity and Shasta Counties. There were 36,000 evacuations, 1,604 buildings lost, 8 lives taken, and much hope lost. My heart is in that place, and with those wonderful people who though they have lost much, still have each other and their memories. Photographs, taken by Jeff Dye in 2010, when the oaks and manzanitas were green and thriving, the lake was surrounded with lush forest, and the remnants of the mining town "Old Shasta" was painted with a beautiful backdrop of green and blossoms. This video is about Aimee Nolte Live At The Roasting Room (With Taylor Roberts And Justin Varnes) July 2018 Bluffton, South Carolina. I’d like to let you know I got the audio from the house mix at the Roasting Room. Unfortunately, the guitar level in the house was low and distorting at times. It wasn’t that way in the monitors that night...but anyway I’m sorry about the distortion. Also, the video switches about half way through to a worse camera and angle but it’s the best I could do. I was also borrowing a keyboard that was new to me and making me feel uncomfortable all night...but when you are traveling and gigging you get what you get sometimes. Hope you all enjoy it. It was a fun night!
First single from Aimee Nolte's upcoming album!
The Loveliest Girl is the first music I've released in 9 years. It is my arrangement of a Matthew Clark composition, and in this video I walk you through how it came to be; the instrumentation, the orchestrations, the recording techniques and texual painting - everything that went into the creation and production of this piece, and
I hope you enjoy it. Stay tuned for the soon-to-be-released single!
